The Fender Level Set Buffer is the perfect tool for a guitarist who likes to use a variety of different guitars in a set. When switching from a hum bucker to a single coil the amount of output in the pickups is very noticeable in your tone, so this allows you to maintain a consistent tone between varying pickups.
The level control is the overall volume of the pedal ,the Hi-Freq control adds a sparkle and shimmer to the tone, great for adding brightness to darker pickups. The load switch flips on a capacitive load similar to the one in a tube amp, makes your pickups load and respond a little better.
