With classic BOSS effects onboard, tap tempo, and the Blend knob for dry/wet balance, you can achieve studio-quality signal processing internally. Two 4-ohm Neutrik speakON outputs are provided for either 4-ohm (500W) or 8-ohm (250W) operation with external cabinets. A direct XLR line output sports three cab emulations, selectable ground lift, selectable post, pre, or direct signals, and automatic cab resonance calibration. And when further tone sculpting is needed, you get a variable low-cut filter (up to 200 Hz), a fixed hi-cut filter, and a even a pad button to help tame the output power in quieter environments. The Katana 500 includes a power cord.

A comprehensive four-band EQ is also on hand, complete with three selectable frequency centers in the low-mid and high-mid bands.
Versatile Performance CompanionThe flexible Katana 500 Bass is your perfect partner for any live gig. Tone Setting memories are available for storing and recalling the sounds you create, including preamp type, EQ, Blend, and effect settings.
You can switch memories from the panel and go even further with optional footswitches, an expression pedal, and the GA-FC Foot Controller. There’s also a balanced XLR output with a switch to select between direct, pre, or post signals, plus two Neutrik 4-ohm speakON speaker jacks to augment your sound with an external cabinet if needed.
Recording and Practice PowerhouseThe Katana 500 bass amp head is equally suited for studio recording and home playing. The independent preamp gain, master volume, and drive controls let you find the perfect tone even at practice volumes. A stereo headphone/recording jack provides a direct output with effects and mic'd cab emulation with three Air Feel settings (plus a customizable setting), while USB lets you interface with computer production software and track with great tone, a perfect option for reamping.
