Controls:

Top row:

  • Time: delay time from 0 to just under 2000ms
  • Repeats: from zero repeats to near infinite
  • Tone: tone for the delayed signal only. Take out the highs in the signal when turned to the left and take out lows when turned to the right. Flat delay tones in the middle.
  • Mix: volume for the delayed signal. It goes from zero delay to unity volume to boosted delay then to only delayed signal.

Bottom row:

  • Decay: decay of the reverb. Short to the left and long to the right
  • Mix: volume for the delayed signal. It goes from zero delay to unity volume to boosted delay then to only reverb signal.

Expression jack assign switch: changes what the expression will control

  • Decay: reverb decay
  • R Mix: reverb mix
  • Time: delay time. Acts differently in this than when normally turning the knob
  • Repeats: delay repeats
  • D Mix: delay mix
  • Toggle: takes over toggle switch. Crossfades between forward and reverse delay

Ratio Selector Switch: selects subdivisions when using tap tempo.

  • 1/1- Quarter Note
  • 3/4- Dotted 8th
  • 2/3- Quarter Note Triplet
  • 1/2- 8th Note
  • 1/3- 8th Note Triplet
  • 1/4- 16th Note

Mode Selector toggle: switches between three modes

  • Normal: standard delay and reverb
  • Reverse: reverse delay with standard reverb
  • Swell: volume swell mode. In this mode the pedal reacts to picking dynamics and adds volume swells.

The Tap tempo switch also has additional functionality. In normal and swell mode holding down the tap tempo switch will cause the delay to self oscillate. In reverse mode it will change the delay back to forward for as long as the switch is held.

The Avalanche Run can be run in either buffered bypass for delay trails or in true bypass. It comes with its own standard 9v power supply. Current draw is 410ma.
