FENDER CUSTOM SHOP LIMITED EDITION ’58 STRATOCASTER - JOURNEYMAN RELIC CHOCOLATE 3-TONE SUNBURST

We were lucky enough to get invited to the 2020 Fender Custom Shop Dealer event and managed to grab 2 of the ultra exclusive instruments!  

It starts with this '58 Stratocaster Reissue.   Classic Strat features and Custom Shop wood selection!  The Body is lightweight ash with gorgeous grain structure and comes in at only 7.27 pounds.  It is perfectly finished and Journeyman Relic'd in Chocolate 3-Tone Sunburst.  It absolutely shimmers under lights.  

The neck is GORGEOUS Roasted 3A Flame Maple.  Its so caramelized, we originally thought this had a Rosewood fingerboard!  The neck has our preferred 'no finish' feel and is a '54 Soft V shape.  .850" at the 1st and .980" at the 12th with 9.5" radius and 6105 narrow-tall frets.  It is vibrant, resonant and plays impeccably.

The tones are supplied by a trio Custom Shop exclusive pickups.  The Neck and Middle are Handwound Tomatillo's and the Bridge is a punchy and powerful Handwound Poblano.  The guitar is beefy and clear in all positions and is supremely versatile.
