FENDER CUSTOM SHOP LIMITED EDITION '64 STRATOCASTER JOURNEYMAN RELIC - 3-COLOR SUNBURST

We scored our latest Custom Shop masterpiece at an exclusive Dealer's Only Event!

It starts with a 1964 Stratocaster Reissue with a spot on 3 Colour Sunburst finish.  The red layer is perfectly done.   It has a Journeyman Relic treatment that is very sublte.   From a few feet away its almost invisible and as you get closer the aging details really start popping out.   Another interesting feature is the Closet Classic hardware.  Barely any aging was done to the metals, it just had the 'shine' taken down a bit so it matches the vibe of the body.   This is the Relic for players that think they hate Relics!

The tones are supplied by a trio of Hand Wound Texas Specials.  The guitar sounds 'stringy' with tons of bluesy snap!   

The neck is lightly flamed AA Quarter Sawn maple for maximum stability.  The fretboard is AAA Dark Rosewood.   The neck has a '63 C Shape measuring .810" At the first fret and nicely tapers to .970" at the 12th.   The 9.5" Radius and 6015 Narrow/Tall frets make this a blues bending DREAM to play.
