FENDER CUSTOM SHOP LIMITED EDITION DUAL-MAG II STRATOCASTER - AGED BLACK OVER 3-COLOUR SUNBURST

This is one of the coolest Custom Shop Strats we have had in a while!   So much detail and so many interesting ideas. 

It starts with a killer 'over' finish!  Over finishes can be found on some vintage pieces.  In the early 60's Fender would spray a lot of 3 tone Sunburst finishes, and if they got a special order in a different colour, they would spray over the 3 Tone.  Then, as time progressed, the new finish would wear down and reveal the Sunburst underneath.  

This one is Black OVER 3 Tone Sunburst, then tastefully relic'd down to expose the Sunburst.  

The body is Roasted alder for added resonance.   It weighs 7.65 pounds.  The neck is Roasted maple with a Rosewood Flat-Lam fretboard.   It has a 60 Style Oval "C" Back-Shape; 9.5" Radius and 21 Jumbo Frets!

This is an amazing player and has the Dual Mag pickups for ultimate 'stratyness'!  The Dual Mag pickups feature a mix of Alnico 5 magnets and Alnico 2 magnets in the bass and treble positions for maximum tonal range.
