MARTIN CUSTOM SHOP D14F ALL FLAME MAHOGANY- WOOD SELECTED BY STANG GUITARS

We took a trip to Nazareth Pennsylvania to tour the Martin factory and museum (highly recommended for any Martin lover).  While we were there we were able to select wood from the Martin wood library.  We then spec'd out a pair of Custom Models.  

We wanted a powerful and deep sounding dreadnaught with a unique aesthetic, something for the dread lover that already has a classic Spruce/Rosewood instrument. 

We started with stunningly figured Flamed Mahogany.  We loved the set so much, we decided to use it on the top as well.  We have found that all mahogany dreads can get a bit boomy as they open up, so we opted for rear shifted bracing.  This offsets the almost subharmonic lows and really balances the guitar.  

We went with the signature Stang dot pattern as the only fretboard markings (see our logo) and and ivoroid binding that really contrasts the rich mahogany.  

This instrument sounds and looks unique and is a great example of what the Martin Custom Shop can do!
