Captor X starts as a premium 8 ohm reactive load.  It will allow you to crank your tube amp and record in absolute silence with no speaker connected.  You can then run to a cabinet with no change in tone or volume, or you can send it to a cab with stage OR bedroom levels of attenuation allowing you to crank your amp even harder.   

This little box virtually eliminates the need to mic your amp or wake the neighbours when laying down tracks.
