The Groove Tubes Trio is a legendary, 3-channel 19" rackmount tube guitar preamplifier released in 1989. Widely considered one of the best multi-channel preamps ever made, it was used by notable players like Trey Anastasio of Phish and consists of three unique channels:

  • Clean: Modeled after a vintage Fender Blackface with incredibly high headroom, depth, and clarity.
  • Mean: Provides smooth, round, vintage-style overdrive similar to early Marshalls or overdriven Bassmans.
  • Scream: Offers heavy, modern, high-gain sustain ranging from Soldano-style tones to heavier Mesa-style distortion.
