The Gibson SG went through a rather major redesign in 1972, moving away from the vibrola tailpiece that had been with the model since the beginning and replacing it with a new "wide-travel" version of the Tune-O-Matic bridge (Bigsby vibratos were a factory option), going back to the "Small Guard" looks of the first run. Â
This 1974 SG hits all the marks.  Great resonance and tone, all original.  This has all the midrange bark you need from and SG and is a fantastic player. Â
