The 1985 Gibson Les Paul Studio Standard was part of an early, highly-sought-after run of the Studio lineup. It featured a slightly thinner, more lightweight mahogany body with a maple cap, dot fretboard inlays, and single-ply body/neck binding. Most notably, these models often came equipped with the legendary Tim Shaw humbucking pickups.
They came in a variety of configurations and this is one of the most unique! This has a factory installed Kahler Locking Trem with Locking Nut!  Kahlers have a great feel. Way smoother than a Floyd and less jagged on the right hand.  This one plays fantastic and the Shaw humbuckers live up to billing! Â
