VINTAGE OAHU TUBE AMPLIFIER MID 50'S

Oahu amplifiers are vintage, highly collectible tube amps originally produced by the Valco manufacturing company for the Oahu Publishing Company in Cleveland, Ohio, between the 1930s and 1960s. Originally designed to accompany Hawaiian lap steel guitars, these hand-wired combos are prized by blues and rock guitarists for their thick, warm overdrive.   

The Oahu brand never actually built its own amplifiers. Instead, they acted as a house brand that distributed amps made by prominent builders of the era, such as Valco (who also built Supro and Dobro amps). Because of this, many vintage Oahu models share almost identical circuitry with highly sought-after Supro and Valco.

This little beauty sounds fantastic and has been wonderfully maintained!
